Amish Lockers: Styles & Configurations

Custom wood lockers constructed of the finest materials and crafted by the Old Order Amish of New Wilmington, Pennsylvania

Most of Amish Locker's work is custom, built to the exact specifications of our clients. However, we do offer standard one, two, three and six-tier lockers available with flat, raised or shaker (mission) door panels. Standard widths are 15" and 18", with standard depths of 15" and 20". We can also build wardrobe cabinets using your design or one of our own.

We also offer open-faced wood lockers, ideal for athletics and other applications where easy access, ample storage and aesthetics are important. Footlockers and sliding doors for the top shelf can add increased usability to the lockers.

All of our lockers can be custom configured with any style door handles, slope tops and interior hardware (coat rods, coat hooks, extra shelves, etc.). Hardwood benches to match the lockers are also available. Use your imagination. These lockers are built for a lifetime, and the Amish will customize them to meet your exact needs.

Amish lockers come with a built-in 4-inch base/toe kick. The bases are part of the locker and increase vertical stability, strength and durability. If you already have a base, we'll have the lockers manufactured without them.

Since the Amish utilize the tongue & groove (also called dado & groove) woodworking technique, their lockers do not have shared sides. Each locker stands on its own. With a bank of lockers, the sides are left unstained and the lockers are joined in the field with either wood screws easily hidden underneath shelves, by a piece of moulding that runs vertical to the lockers or other methods to secure the lockers from the tops and backs. The exposed locker ends are finished with 3/4" end panels, usually raised panels or mission/shaker panels. Flat panels can also be utilized, offering a minimalist aesthetic feel.

Our Amish lockers come in a choice of 12 stains. Custom staining to match your existing decor is also available.
